I'm just sayin that BFMV sounds really emo. I'm not mad about Linkin Park, I have seen them live they sing all their hardest and best stuff for the fans everytime with like 2 ballads. I know they are awesome. Their is plenty of hour and a half to 2 hour whole LP concerts on the web to prove my point. Just go watch one. however I have listened to many of the BFMV songs yoy have posted and they just are so sad and heartbroken and sound so Emo. That is just how they sound to me. And all the newer songs are similar, like they are incapable of moving on past their pain, hence they are stuck. Stuck in Emo world. maybe share some songs to show me they have other stuff to offer. Like "Say Goodnight" is about Jay's dad dying and A Place Where You Belong is for anybody that can relate to dealing with a loss. Ten Years Today is about a former band member dying from the early days.
And most of their songs aren't "emo." If they are then All That Remains is too and they sound hard. Not as much anymore though. But you've obviously never heard "Fever." yea their new direction is not as desirable as their old ones but they moved on and the way they felt when they wrote their old stuff is not how they feel now. They have all made personal progression in life and have therefore made a change in music. And you cannot say they sold out to mainstream just because they are a bit softer doesn't make them pop. Electronica isn't pop it has a smaller obscure crowd than pop. Hell electronica is less popular than metal. And plus they have alot of anti government messages so they are definitely not mainstream because that stuff is not a mainstream topic. Alot of there new soft stuff has dark meaning or is about moving on from where you used to be and bettering yourself. I am a **** LP fan so I understand their change and support them for it. Because they aren't heartbroken kids addicted to drugs anymore. They are no longer in that pain anymore and they wanna move on past it and it is up to the fans to support them in their new movement.
