I just tried my Pure World build.

And I have to say...

ATK/+3400 Dark World Lords + DDV = ! ! !

I tested a build based off of your "New Idea" (keeping the core).  So far, I think it's just OK.  You have to ride on Raven's Synchro for a while till you get another Raven or Gale.  Because speed & fluidity is lost when you remove draw/discard cards to run Raven, you're much less likely to search with Snow (and therefore make less of Grapha as well).

I said Shining Angels were mediocre, but at least they did get Raven out more.  Still, 2 Raiou + 2 Raven prove better to be better than 2 Shining Angels + 2 Ravens, or just Ravens & Gale.  Raiou can be more threatening than a Synchro because it can control the enemy so well.  Not only that, but also Raiou may pressure your opponents to use their best resources to get rid of him - I've had Raoiu been Warned a few times, even Dark Holed.  Thus, he adds another element to the game, and still fill the Graveyard like Shining Angel.

But uh, Pure World is simply stronger and less "stall reliant" (smaller focus on defense). DWL & Grapha abuse is its greatest selling point.  More DW = more speed + more Grapha Summons, too.  Summon Broww, get Grapha.

Uh... I changed like.  2 cards.  1 Spell & 1 Trap, I think.

So pretty much the same thing.
