You realize all this contemplation about what happenes after death is moot at best.  No one truely knows what happens after you die.  You would have to be truely delusional to claim to know exactly what the next phase of existance is or might be.  A notion of heaven and hell is just as likely as reincarnation which is in turn just as likely as nothing.

One point which I have stated earlier in another topic remains true: Energy cannot be created nor destroyed.  It's a fundemental law of physics.  So the body will decay into the soil and will continue it's existance, we can all agree on that.  The electrical impulses of the mind, what makes you you and what one could argue is the soul, well no one knows.  It might ascend to a higher plane of existance.  It might defuse into the environment at the moment of death.  Or it might simply "disappear" and "reappear" else where in the universe.  Who knows, who cares?

You're hiding things.  Knowing the things you've shared you can't say my response lacked truth.

You say we will "troll [you] for being atheist."  Yet, you are the one who began trolling and took this defensive stand.  We've already established that this is only a discussion and not a Christian thread (as seen in Arktic's spiritual beliefs and Dragon's scientific take).  There's nothing wrong with sharing what you believe (or do not believe) in. 

If you truly do not feel uncomfortable with this topic, you wouldn't say you are "laughing" at anything.  It's an obvious cover for your discomfort, whatever it may be.  Unfairness in life.  No God you have found.

Doesn't take a psychologist to see this, Tye.  What bothers me isn't your lack of faith, but the fact that you spoil this thread for someone with your baseless negativity.  If you could even present a short post of why you think this way, then there is no problem.  Otherwise, keep out.

One's beliefs are like a fart.  Once out in the open you can't stop and take it back and you have to be comfortable to release it, you could push it out, but that is not healthy.  Furthermore they all stink except your own.

Believing or not believing in God is your own choice.  But don't show disrespect towards others for their beliefs.  Athiesm, Hinduism, Taoism... doesn't matter. We've only been sharing ideas.  We're not preaching anything.  No one here has told you to become a Christian or any other kind of believer.
