OK, first off I am a complete and utter noob when it comes to the Traditional Format. Now that we can all agree on that...

My locals are just starting to do Traditional Format tournaments and I'm thinking of just adjusting my Dark World build by including some forbidden favorites. Is this a good approach?

I'm only using cards I own, so Tour Guide and Trishula are fairly obvious upgrades that I don't have.

MONSTERS - 16
3x Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World
3x Snoww, Unlight of Dark World
3x Broww, Huntsman of Dark World
3x Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World
1x Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
 1x Fabled Raven
 1x Sangan
 1x Makyura the Destructor

SPELLS - 17
3x The Gates of Dark World
 3x Dark World Dealings
1x Dragged Down into the Grave
 1x Monster Reborn
 1x Foolish Burial
 1x Card Destruction
 1x Card of Safe Return
 1x Graceful Charity
 1x Painful Choice
 1x Harpie's Feather Duster
 1x Raigeki
 1x Pot of Greed
 1x Delinquent Duo

TRAPS - 7
 2x Mind Crush
 1x Deck Devastation Virus
 1x Eradicator Epidemic Virus
 3x Reckless Greed

*** EXTRA DECK - 15 ***
 1x Leviair the Sea Dragon
 1x Number 39: Utopia
 1x Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
 1x Stygian Sergeants 5*
1x Ally of Justice Catastor 5*
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier 6*
 1x Black Rose Dragon 7*
 1x Chaos King Archfiend 7*
 1x Dark Highlander 7*
 1x Stardust Dragon 8*
 1x Dark End Dragon 8*
 1x Scrap Dragon 8*
 1x Mist Wurm 9*
1x Ally of Justice Decisive Armor 10*
 1x Fabled Leviathan 10*

*** SIDE DECK - 15 ***
 2x Effect Veiler
 1x Neko Mane King
 2x Doomcaliber Knight
 3x Mystical Space Typhoon
 1x Reinforcement of the Army
 1x Heavy Storm
 1x Solemn Judgment
 1x Deck Devastation Virus
 1x Eradicator Epidemic Virus
 2x Skill Drain

Makyura is sexy as f*ck.

Even then I do not like Reckless Greed very much.  It's hard for just 1 monster to really change things.  Still would rather have my Skill Drains.  Skill Drain should always be Mained if you're not using Tour Guide.  It cuts down sooo much we have to deal with.

Never will like 3 Beiige.  Too damn many yo.  I'd have 1 Brron in there if you want that many DW monsters.  Sangan's kinda useless too.  Perhaps if you added Grand Mole (yeah I say this a lot but seriously, I love this little guy).

No Forceful Sentry or Dustshoot?  Mind Crush is quite weak with only 1 Drag backing it.  I use 2 Drags + Dustshoot and I took out my lone Mind Crush because more than half the time I'd have to blindly guess if I wanted to use it.  But 2 Drags, Dustshoot, Forceful Sentry and Delinquent Duo is just... bloody **** of the hand.

Just some thoughts.

When I had a Traditional Dark World deck, I made sure the deck was about drawing and discarding as much as possible in an OTK form. You are definitely starting in the right place.

-1 Foolish Burial

+1 Dragged Down Into The Grave

Foolish Burial adds consistency, Fever.  You want that Grapha.  Play the Deck and you'll see.

Thanks Bakura.

I would agree if this were a Advanced Format, however with **** discard outlets like Painful Choice, Graceful Charity, and Dark World Dealings, it's really not necessary to have a measly Foolish Burial in this deck. Instead, I would use another powerhouse banned card.

Grapha is the secondary, Makyura is the main target for Foolish, and it works fantastic. And once Makyura is sent, Reckless becomes incredible. Dragged is great in Advanced, and it works well with Mind Crush, DDV, EEV... but in Traditional, I never see another DW build. And because of Makyura, I often want the traps in my hand, not just set. So Dragged is no good to me. IMO Beiige > Brron especially with Cards of Safe Return. I can often zip through most of my deck while having played the 2 virus's. Hard for anyone to come back from that.
Painful Choice is by far the most broken card in this build.

Ohhh, smart.

Still wouldn't use Reckless Greed though.  The Viruses are fine since they're still decent by themselves.

Technically Reckless Greed is better in Traditional because you have Pot of Greed as additional support, and you have Makyura.

It's way easy to thin a deck out in Traditional though. Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity alone are insane.
