Unless someone can bring up a valid point, I think Forbidden Lance is obsolete. (I do realize Lance can save a Future Fusion/Call of the Haunted monster; also, I see the smaller decrease in attack as a plus for you since 600 is already plenty to weaken a foe's monster.) EDIT: Never mind, I see understand how targeting works now. Explanation: http://www.pojo.biz/board/showpost.php?p=25209585&postcount=29 Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the End Phase, it loses 600 ATK, but it cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects.

I saw this on Pojo. They actually say that Forbidden Lance is better. But this is a good card too. Especially in Gladiator Beasts. But personally, I like Garments better. A very nice addition to the Forbidden Brigade.

The garment seems to be better at defending against monster effects. like XYZ effects.

But only monster effects that destroy.  You must activate Garment before your monster is targeted for an effect. If you Chain Forbidden Garment to Chaos Sorcerer's banishment effect, it's too late because your monster has already been targeted. Of course it doesn't matter for Zenmaines & Master Hyperion.
