Thanks.   But Fever, you have it lol.  Musta not paid attention to it when the system automatically rewarded you for everything you did before the system was implemented.

My roommate & I made some epic plays when we switched Decks.

First, he gets Trishula on me.  Next turn I drop BLS, Summon Lyla, top-Deck / Plague, Synchro Summon Goyo Guardian, and attack his Trish.  Not enough to kill him, right?  Wrong, HONEST. !!!  First time I've ever seen BLS + Honest actually happen and it's done by me!  I won that Match; beat my own Tele-DAD.

Later, my friend starts with a hand that had a bunch of missing components before its potential could be unlocked.  He stalled with Krebons for a turn.  By turn 3 or so he basically draws 10 cards by effect and drops Stardust, Stratos/E-Tele = Goyo and 2x Dark Armed Dragon!  What the f****k!!  Crazy sh*t!

Then we switch back Decks and afterwards I get a 2nd turn OTK using my own Tele-DAD.

I tried Oppression-DAD for the first time today.   My God it is so good... I can't get over the power.  Stardust + beatstick w/ Oppression + Solemn = you win.  I've stalled behind Spirit Reaper to build resources as I Oppress, and Breaker is a strong Normal Summon (ATK/1900) under Oppression.  Breaker also gives me superior control over Royal Oppression - I can destroy it with Breaker's effect!   The Deck is just so good... and it's really just Tele-DAD + 2 Royal Oppressions, no huge difference to the structure.

I don't get why more people didn't run this back before.  Those few known players back in the day went far with their Oppression-DAD builds.  In the end in tournaments it's just who gets their combos off faster, but I'm hella sure Oppression-DAD had a higher winning percentage - just fewer numbers.  Roar stalls for a turn; Oppression just shuts them down for good.  I can just control the field until I have Storm, Trunade or even Breaker if I have two live E-Tele's.

seriously I wish I knew this and had this 4 years ago ._.'''  maybe I coulda made it big.

Royal Oppression has always been way OP. It's so one sided. Glad it is banned. -_-

Mhm.   I still remember playing it in my Dark World Deck right before it was banned...

Alright so I finally got to play Calvin and his Karakuris.  And he got really butthurt and mad.  This has been the only time I've ever seen him serious lol.  In the last game I started off with RotA:Stratos:Malicious, discard Malicious: SS Dark Grepher, Xyz for Utopia, E-Tele + Mali for Stardust, Set Solemn Judgment & Book of Moon.  Booked his Tuner to see his Instant Fusion'd monster fizzle.  He Set one.  Next turn Summon Breaker; pop his Set - Solemn.  And Anthony was urging me to discard Breaker to dump PSZ via Grepher... played it smart.
8D  And to add on to that, I drew Oppression that turn - but Calvin scooped so. 8D  Yes, I am having fun, Calvin.

Things I have learned playing this Deck:

1) Monster Reborn Tragoedia to discard Malicious and rob their Chaos Sorcerer.
2) Always Solemn Mind Control aimed at your Spirit Reaper when you don't have a play immediately ready next turn, or at least thwart their Tuner.
3) Take risks.  Chances are you have your shiet and they don't.
4) If they have a Set Trap(s) and get some bullsh*t like Zenmaines while you have Stardust, it's a Warning.  Don't mistaken it for a misplay.  Raigeki Break their Set (if they only have 1) or Break one of their Lv:3 monsters.

I think I can let this Deck rest now.  It would be so cool if Konami threw a throwback '08 meta tournament or a special ban list tournament that allowed old top tier Decks to come back in one fest.

Haha!   OK I will then.   Till the time comes to Duel my buddy Brendan in high school.  He too made a Tele-DAD Deck, but a disgraceful one - common Destiny cards & 2 common Dark Armed?  Wtf??  Sucks though, his friends are sooo anal about YGO.  Suck the fun out of the game.  They can't have fun...

He's going to Japan & Taiwan during winter break, so I might be able to grab some unique Deck boxes, sleeves and figures.

If you have a good buddy to play Traditional format with then it is all good. For me, after I entered the Advanced Format, friends hated seeing banned cards and never wanted to play even for fun. They do take the fun out of the game lol.

Definitely!   Good times with this Deck.

:I Regardless of whatever format you're playing some people just get p!ssed regardless.  It's a game!  Shiet!  Don't even know why they're playing if they're frustrated all the time.

Fuhhh just can't get enough of this Deck.  Having a Tele-DAD mirror match tmw @ MJ Cafe.

Deck fix!  Here are two sample hands I drew involving my 'new' tech card (with the #1 being my very first test draw! )

#1

Burden of the Mighty, Malicious, Dark Grepher, PSZ, Threatening Roar
Draw Phase: Raigeki Break
After RotA search, next 3 cards: Giant Trunade, Book of Moon, E-Tele

Field: Setup is ensured.
Stardust + Scrap Dragon
Burden, Book, Break Set

#2
Burden of the Mighty, Dark Grepher, Malicious, DAD, Threatening Roar
Draw Phases: Krebons, Mirror Force

Field: (potentially) Pretty safe.
Stardust + Dark Armed (assuming Grepher dies)
Burden, Roar, Mirror

Nope.  Too fun.  Control-oriented metas are so boring...

MJ Cafe Mirror Match!

Master VS Student

First game - Brandon left a Stratos out.  I could have went for a Stardust + Goyo play to take his Stratos and Overlay with my Dark Grepher for Utopia, buuut I forgot I was a card short after using PSZ.  I don't want to do redoes so I just stuck with Stardust + Luchador Colossal.  On his turn he puts a Dark End Dragon on the field and he was gonna get into another Synchro - when the food arrives.   Saved by the waiter!  We stop, eat & chat, enjoying each other's company.  Brandon was askin' me what was the card I tech'd in, but I tell for show him the card, I will have to use it on him.  After a good time maxin' - let the games resume!  Anthony, Ryan and Mandy left afterwards and we moved to the cool lounge chairs to Duel.

Game 1 - Brandon begins with RotA-Stratos-Mali & 2 Sets.  I hate 2 Sets! xD  The game simplifies to Brandon battering me with Diamond Dude, Goyo & Colossal.  That clunky bastuhrd.
D:<  My turn... Draw! *lights up* haha, just what I needed!  Summon, Stardust Dragon & Breaker!  With a smile, I reveal - Burden of the Mighty!  Now his Goyo drops to 2200, Colossal - 2200 (boosted by 2x Warrior) and Diamond Dude - 1000.  Stardust & Breaker attack Goyo & D-Dude.  Then I Set 2 and he's like "I hate 2 Sets!" xD  On the next turn he tries to attack with Colossal Fighter, but I flip one of my reverse cards - Threatening Roar!  He Sets 1 and ends.  My turn, I play PSZ & Malicious to get Dark End Dragon, sending Colossal Fighter to hell!  Game 1 - my favor!

Game 2 - He begins with Dark Grepher - sending PSZ & Mali - and 2 Sets in each Zone.  Perfect opportunity here for Breaker, the Magical Warrior!   Summon, Spell Counter +1, attack Dark Grepher!  Main Phase 2, pop 1. *destroys Solemn*   Sweet.  The game goes on to me Summoning a Goyo that gets Solemn'd, and my Stardust which attacks him directly.  He turns the tables with a Colossal Fighter again.  I draw, pass and Colossal Fighter hits me once directly.  I draw again... just what I needed.  Heart of the Cards, you are real!  Colossal Fighter hits me again and I drop Gorz!   But Gorz & Kaien aren't enough for me to defeat the killer Colossal.  I pass my turn, and Colossal smashes Gorz.  I see what I draw next... Great!  Krebons!  I use that Krebons + Malicious for Stardust & Reborn my Solemn'd Goyo, which robs a monster that I Overlay on my Stratos to bring out Utopia!  On top of that, I lay a Burden on him!  Goyo, Kaien, Utopia and Stardust with Burden & a Set - a winner's field!

There was also a game where I had a Brio that priority bounced his Stardust before being Booked, and the next turn I got a Stardust but my Brio was Solemn'd upon being Flip Summoned.  The details are lost within our happy moments of big plays and intense thinking on turns that turned the game around.  All in all, a very rewarding day.
