Banned all because everyone was abusing Swords of Revealing Light.

I don't think it was that. I used to run it along with Heavy Storm back when it was around. Surprisingly, not a lot of people ran it back then but I think it started getting more popular when Gladiator Beasts did well. It's a crazy good card.

It got banned about 3-4 formats back. People were setting up otk plays in hand then dropping trunade(which was nigh unblockable, barring a lucky set solemn J or a pro-tech dark bribe, so like 8/10 times you'd trunade/storm and swarm ans go for game  and if it was trunade, you'd almost always go for game unempeeded. The SADSKC OTK deck(fish OTK) abused the crappola out of trunade in it's key play using the dewlorean loop and abuse of king coalcanth's ability.

IMO heavy storm, as annoying as F@CK as it is, HAS to stay, because if not the alternative is this card. it can literally rob you of first turn advantage, and even set you back a trun thanks to having to re-set your backrow and hope to christ, or what ever god you pray to, that you don't get buttf**k3d following that damn trunade.

Was it 4 formats ago?  Giant Trunade by itself (with Heavy Storm banned at the time) is not too good.  If you couldn't use it to win the game, you only created 1 safe turn and did not truly get rid of anything your opponent had.  Heavy Storm should never be banned again because it keeps people from Setting sh*tloads of Traps knowing they will be safe.

We need Storm to keep the game in check, but also having Giant Trunade as an additional nigh-unblockable sweep is too much Trap clearing.  Having both promotes OTKs too much.  1 card makes that difference.

Giant Trunade was still good even if you couldn't win that turn. Just knowing that now you could prevent Solemn Warning and Bottomless Trap Hole so you can make your plays uninterrupted. I ran it in Dark World back around college days.

I mean Trunade is not a replacement for Heavy Storm, there we go.   But yeah I love Giant Trunade.  I ran it too in my Decks.

Remember that sh*tty format with Plant Synchro #1 & no Heavy?  I was talkin' 'bout that.  Just wanted to go more in detail for the King.

o_o How do some robots beat one of the craziest Synchro Decks of all time with 3 Deck-specific Solemn-level Traps?

I'm not sure. Machina Fortress and Machina Gearframe are great cards though.
