Do you even lift?

  Of course I lift.  I lifted several pieces of furniture today.  A couple of 5 piece dining sets, a breakfast nook, some armoires and chiffarobes.  Then there was the crap for lawn and garden.  But we were talking about pulling, not lifting.  Lifting is movement on the horizontal axis, pulling is on the vertical.  Two totally different things.

Dude, I don't just pull.  I also push, lift and drop.  Gotta get the job done anyway possible.  But back to your "insult" I've solo lifted swing sets weighing over 350.

You don't need a dragon ruler discussion everyone and I mean everyone knows the basics of the cards. Battlin' boxers are a fun deck, I like the idea of that one.

I went to a garage sale about 3 weeks back. some old lady was selling her son's/grandson's stuff and other crap, and it was mostly garbage, till I seen it.

A base set pokemon BOX. True, the box looked like it went a few rounds with a baseball bat covered in sand paper....but from what I could see, despite the hull being compromised, it's cargo was not.....I dared to think what I just found. I remembered seeing how a unopened box set of base set 1 could be worth **** mountians of dollars, and yes this set's box looked like ****, but I could see atleast 2 of the 12 packs I could look at, were unopened and SEEMED, in next to mint shape.

My hopes were getting high, so I asked the lady what she wanted for it. Her story was her son or grandson said not to sell that for less than $40, and I asked why and she said cause they had saved it since they were a kid in the 90's. I asked why is it worth $40 if the box is so busted? she conceded the box looked like it was bad,  and asked her if I gave her $25 would she sell it to me. she looked at me crossways, and asked why I wanted it IF the box was **** up, and I told her it reminded me of when I was a kid. after some reminiscing, and talking of what the box was she beat me up to $28 and she sold me the box.

now once I got it home, I looked it over VERY carefully. it was busted the **** up,and the BOX had been opened, but from what I could see, ALL of the packs inside, were unopened, save 1 which has a slice up in the top of the packaging which I could only assume didn't hit the cards from a gash on the box. So I got intouch with my poke-buddies, and did research and they told me how to figure out if the box was legit and how to find the serial number, then how to check the "mint-ness" of the packs. long story short, 15 of my remaining packs that were not gashed out of the box, were top quality mint, while 2 of the remaining not in that 15 were still sealed and thus passible quality for an "unopened pack" I decided since the gash one and 6 otheers that had tears were useless as unopened packs, I should atleast open them to see if these were worth anything.

AND A MOTHER F#CKING BLASTOISE!(not 1/.e but **** it this big,blue,beautiful **** is mint and of all the packs it was in the gash pack, but no damage to it or the other cards in said pack!)

So yeah I pulled a 17 year old (or better...) card out of a 28$ box and while I can't assume the value of the rest of the packs, I did snag $49 profit ON TOP of my $28 when i sold the blastosie for almost $90 to a long time friend/collectore of pokemans who practically creamed his sweatpants at the thought of a mint condition blastoise to add to his collection


**** yeah, I almost forgot  she threw in the rest of the pokemon cards and I found a SEAKING!

Oh lawd. That would be nice to have those cards. I wish they were still expensive though.
