I've always been fond of defensive builds featuring "black garden", and I wanted to use it again for just such a deck.After some thought, I realized I needed a swarming capability and monsters who usually were well and above 1500 DEF for this plan to work. so I went looking about and to my surprise one of the most defensive archetypes out there that swarms, is also one of the best "ninjas" in addition to things like hanzos search, their plethora of back row for all seasons and some really great XYZ, the star of their swarming isn upstart golden ninja.
Now in attack this guy may as well be as "ninja-like" as a fat man on an old wood floor trying to get a midnight snack....but in here he really is a ninja worthy of praise. under garden, you would need someone starting out as high or higher than 3950 ATK to beat down golden ninja, as 1800 defense under garden is STAGGERINGLY hard to surpass. to add to this is a usually unused ninja, "masked ninja ebisu". ebisu isn't very amazing usually, but in here he has found his nindo, his ninja way. he can defend with the best of them, bounce set cards, and the most amazing thing, is him an hanzo are cannon fodder to summon everyone's favorite over cooked turkey: DARK SIMORGH! I've come to realize a hand of a trap, anti-spell fragrance, upstart golden and some protection cards for the play is one of this decks best going turn two.
thoughts? Fake trap is playing amazingly and I want some safe zones in here. D2 stays as does unity, I've slapped someone for 7400 DEf( D2 on an 1800+ a spent excal+ a defense ebisu in play) XD
for now I like just unity, but I would like to try the full 6 cards in the "handshake deck"'s arsenal.
