Official Play Through Event II (Gen VI)

Welcome to Kalos.  This event is Gen 6 limited and remember this is the first play through for all of us, so absolutely no spoilers regarding plot.  I made some slight changes to the rules (specifically General Rules 6 and Event Rules 5) and added a new rule under General Rules.

General Rules

1) There is to no trolling or derailing of any Pokémon Play Through event.  If a post accidentally causes a derailment, subsequent posts will be removed for the sake of the event.  Intentional derailment or trolling will be dealt based on the frequency of said actions within the event and/or past events played.

2) There is to be no negative criticism of another's team or play style.  The game is about customization, get over it.

3) Do not start debates on play styles.  If you want to discuss the merits of a play style (rounded team vs. one heavy hitter, all fire team, ect.) take it to the Pokémon Center and start a thread.

4) a) Do not discuss other games.  For example in a generation limited game (Gen I) you cannot discuss Gen VI.  There are forums for said discussions.

4) b) Do not discuss the feasibility of moves.

5) Do not start playing or hosting an event if you do not intend to finish the play through.  All players may play and finish at their own pace, however if it prolongs the event and/or delays an upcoming event you will be warned to finish or risk losing your points for that event.

6) To host an event you must have at least 2000 posts, 10 karma and no curses.  To host contact Dragon in the Shadows via PM.

7) Only one play through event is permitted at any given time.  If you wish to host you must wait until any current game has been declared as ended by a moderator.

Event Rules

1) Obey the host.  If the host does something that goes against the General Rules or DWS rules notify a member of the staff, otherwise the host is in charge.

2) In order to participate restarts are required.

3) Event requirements must be followed.  Meaning if the event requires you to play a game for a specific generation you must play a game from that generation.  The host may group certain games differently, for example including HeartGold and SoulSilver as Gen II games.

4) Updates are mandatory after beating every gym and after beating the Elite Four.  These updates must include your full team, their levels and current move set.

5) Cheating devices (Action Replay) are not permitted unless use of said cheat devices are permitted and specified by the host.

6) If a player openly admits that they are playing a generation there is to be no spoilers unless they say they do not mind.  Otherwise let them enjoy the ride.  Small vague advice is permitted, such as the following example:

"Keep a spot open in your team when you go to Iron Island"

You may now sign up.  Since this is a new game you can sign up before you actually get it provided that you purchase it within 2 weeks of signing up.
