What I'd like to see come out in Yu-Gi-Oh. Is for old cards that are essentially useless now (ie. Normal monsters with low ATK and DEF) like Shapesnatch have cards that support/improve them. So that old cards from the first few years of Yu-Gi-Oh can not just be collectors items, but also useful in a competitive deck. In the same way that Red Eyes Black Dragon, which was essentially a weak 7 star monster, became quite handy with all the support cards based around it.
It could be interesting if they put thought into it given some of the ridiculous fusion monsters that came out in the earlier years of Yu-Gi-Oh that seemed pointless.

Kinda like how Pokemon cards have tons of different versions. Hmmmm. Not sure if I would. I think cards are special the way they are made.

Some cards are better with updated card texts and erratas. That's okay.

Not made into different versions. But have some support cards made for them, so the cards themselves are actually competitively playable.

It'd probably be easier than having to think up completely new archtypes.

older cards like slot machine, okay sure I see your point....but cards like nawatori or lighting charger, not so much. a card has to have potential use in some way to be useful, or have an intrinsic value (character's card, or being completely pointless and be completely redundant like trent and shapesnatch are) to get support. case in point, chu-ske the mouse fighter(all the master monk stuff for some reason ropes in him, why? I dunno but it does despite him having largely nothing to do with the theme), the "itsu" series of monsters(for about probably 7-10 sets atsu and koitsu were left alone as the only istu monsters, then soitsu and doitsu joined them), the eariler gaia monsters (continuous spell, effectively an on field graceful chairity but weaker), ect...
